The archaeologist Luis Lumbreras cast doubt on announcement of the French Thierry Jamin, who claims to have found the place where there is an Inca treasure and the possible tomb of Pachacutec, in the sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

Lumbreras, one of the leading specialists in this archaeological site, said that “there was very looted during the colonial and early Republic, when Bingham discovered it had already been burned more than once.”
