2013-02-22 No permission to excavate Machu Picchu Toggle
The Regional Directorate of Culture does not allow the excavations requested by the NGO Inkari’s and the French Thierry Jamin at Machu Picchu because it would seriously jeopardize the stability of the Inca citadel as it would seek to move more than 600 square meters of land to to find the supposed tomb of Pachacutec.
